Mount St. Joseph 28, Georgetown Prep 12 (Saturday)
Mount St. Joseph scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to seal its victory over Georgetown Prep in a MIAA A Conference game. The fourth-quarter points came from touchdown runs by Leroy Bradford (29 yards) and Chris Costabile (one yard).
The Gaels took a 14-12 lead on touchdown runs by Artis Holt (29 yards) and Gentry White (4 yards). Mount St. Joe improved to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the MIAA A Conference, and Georgetown Prep dropped to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the A Conference.
John Carroll 13, Severn 10, OT (Friday)
John Carroll quarterback Sammy Von Paris' 10-yard touchdown run in overtime gave the Patriots a three-point victory on Friday. Severn had kicked a field goal earlier in the extra session for the initial overtime lead, but John Carroll rallied to pull out the victory.
Von Paris also had a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Severn quarterback Jon Gren had a 60-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to force overtime. John Carroll continued its season of improvement and went to 2-0 in the MIAA B Conference and 3-1 overall. Severn dropped to 0-3 in the league and 0-4 overall.
Loyola 41, Curley 0 (Friday)
Loyola blew out Curley with a balanced offensive attack throughout the game which included 22 second-quarter points.
Brandon Floyd caught two touchdowns from Leon Kinnard to give the Dons a 14-0 lead. Terence Garvin (3 yards), Matt Heacock (19 yards), Kinnard (33 yards) and Donovan Eaton (9 yards) each had touchdown runs to help put the game away.
Loyola improved to 5-0 overall but has yet to play a game within the MIAA A Conference. Curley dropped to 3-2 overall and remained at 3-1 in the MIAA B Conference.
Eastern Tech 14, Calvert Hall 13 (Friday)
After Calvert Hall had failed to score on its two-point conversion attempt after gaining a six-point lead in the fourth quarter, Eastern Tech rallied for a touchdown with 27.6 seconds left and connected for the extra point and a one-point victory.
Calvert Hall's Christian Cook caught touchdowns of 15 and 75 yards apiece from quarterback Patrick Fitzgerald. The Cardinals dropped to 2-3 overall and remained 0-1 within the MIAA A Conference since Eastern Tech is a non-conference opponent.
Cook converted a quick pass into a 75-yard touchdown with 4:12 left in the game. But the Cardinals came up empty going for a two-point conversion, which left them with a 13-7 lead and left the door open for the Mavericks to pull off the comeback.

Boys' Soccer - MIAA A Conference Games
Gilman 2, John Carroll 1 (Saturday)
Ben Shriver and Diego McQuestion scored unassisted goals for Gilman en route to the victory. Chris Panian scored for John Carroll, and Matt Prauman got the lone assist.
Christian Hall made five saves for Gilman, and Erik Nowicki added seven to keep John Carroll close. Gilman improved to 6-1-2 overall and 4-1-2 in the MIAA A Conference. John Carroll fell to 5-3-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the A Conference.
Mount St. Joseph 2, St. Paul's 0 (Saturday)
David Arnold scored both goals for Mount St. Joseph, as the Gaels moved to 6-2-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the MIAA A Conference.
Kevin Gorman and Brennan Orsulak added asissts for Mount St. Joe in the victory. Goalkeeper Brad Benzing made three saves for the Gaels, and Austin Brown helped with seven saves for St. Paul's, which fell to 2-5-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the A Conference.
McDonogh 1, Curley 0 (Friday)
McDonogh's Julian Griggs' second-half goal, assisted by Mamadou Kansaye, lifted the Eagles over Curley. John Connolly made eight saves for Curley, while Patrick Spearman helped McDonogh with three saves. The Eagles improved to 9-1-0 overall and 7-0-0 in the MIAA A Conference, while Curley slipped to 6-5-0 overall and 3-4-0 in the A Conference this season.
