Friends Rolls Along

Friends School has been successful so far this season, posting a 9-2-2 record, second in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference.

The team is currently on a three-game winning streak after tying two straight games, including a 5-5 deadlock against St. Paul’s. Junior Flannery McArdle led the Quakers with three goals. Fellow junior Kate Evans had a goal and two assists while sophomore Marian Donald scored.

The Quakers lead the A Conference in goals with 65 and have had three shutouts this season.

Oldfields has continued to rebound after a slow start, leading the IAAM B Conference Division I with a 6-4-1 record.

After winning only two of their first six games, including scoring no goals over a two- game span, the team turned around to go 4-0-1. Oldfields is now in the middle of a three-game winning streak in which they have not allowed a goal.

Seniors Sarah Nutter and Annie Isaacs were named to the B Conference Division I All-Star Team. Seniors Ashley Nelson and Allie Singer also were nominees.

Park has been struggling all season, still searching for its first victory. The Bruins have lost all 10 of their games so far.

Among the team’s losses include a 13-2 decision to Glenelg Country School. Gabby Lessans and Kayla Brunn scored the Bruins’ only goals.

Park has been shut out six times while only scoring eight goals this season. The most goals they have scored in a game were three against Roland Park.
