The McDonogh girls won their second straight Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland group meet Dec. 16 by the slimmest of margins, beating out Seton Keough by a score of 139.166-137.5.
The Eagles' win came despite having only two runners win individual races -- Amanda Kimbers in the 55-meter dash and Kristen Brown in the 55 hurdles. The team's main wins were in the 800- and 3,200-meter relays.
The latter victory came with a time of 10:37.8. In the 800 relay, the Eagles scored a victory with a time of 1:48.
McDonogh also got plenty of points in other places.
Jasmine Robinson and Jordyn Glaser finished second and third, respectively, in the 300 dash, while the Eagles got second in the 1,600 relay.
Hannah Johnstone took third in the shot put, and Kimbers finished second in the high jump. Nyerre Osiomwan and Kristen Brown grabbed second and third place in the long jump, while Osiomwan finished third in the triple jump.
Carly Napora finished third in the 500, and Ali Hyatt took fourth in the girls 800.
